Daily Birding In Kota Kinabalu City

5th January 2008

Spent few hours at Tanjung Aru Beach around the Prince Phillip Park today hoping to see the Red-throated Flycatcher and Oriental honey-Buzzard, but no luck with these two birds. Weather was a bit dull in the morning and quite challenging while taking pictures against the grey sky.

Some of my shots today;

View of Sulug and Manukan Island

Shell Traffic Competitions for school childrens held yearly at this place

Neat and clean park suitable for picnic and barbeque during weekends and school holidays

Dollarbird is common around the beach

Collared Kingfisher in action !

Great Egret
