Glossy Ibis

13th December 2018

There were 4 or 5 records for Sabah and last year it was found in Papar paddy field and surprisingly, another one was found at Penampang paddy field recently by a group of local birders. This species is a resident in Kalimantan and seeing it again among the white colour Egrets is amazing caused another excitement for those who have missed it last year!

Juvenile Black-winged Stilt, used to be rare in North Borneo according to my friend CK. Now you will see them every year from September - April during the migratory season.
