23-27th July 2023
Peter came to KK last March for the Bulwer's Pheasant at Mt. Trusmadi https://horukuru.blogspot.com/2023/03/birding-with-peter.html and for the 2nd time, with Jia Min covering Sepilok Forest Reserve and Lower Kinabatangan River. During the trip, we got some of the finest birds such as Rufous-collared Kingfisher, Storm's Stork and White-crowned Hornbill including the endemic Black-crowned Pitta.
At Kinabatangan River, we stayed at Sukau Greenview for few days. Weather was good throughout but missed the Bornean Clouded Leopard the night before! They will be back for the Borneo Bird Festival this coming Oct https://www.borneobirdfestival.com
